Hi all,

I'm looking for some good books on electronics to deepen my understanding. I’m particularly interested in books that cover both theory and practical applications. Any suggestions for beginners or intermediate learners would be great!

There are many books available in the market and online that are commonly recommended. Here are five of the most notable ones:

  1. Practical Electronics for Inventors – Paul Scherz

    • Ideal for hands-on learners, with practical examples and troubleshooting tips.
  2. The Art of Electronics – Paul Horowitz

    • A comprehensive guide covering both analog and digital electronics.
  3. Make: Electronics – Learning by Discovery

    • Perfect for beginners, featuring project-based, visual learning methods.
  4. How to Diagnose and Fix Everything Electronic – Michael Geier

    • Focuses on troubleshooting, repair techniques, and diagnostics.
  5. Getting Started in Electronics – Forrest M. Mims

    • Beginner-friendly, with simple projects and clear illustrations.

These books cover a broad range of topics, from basic fundamentals to advanced concepts, making them suitable for learners at various levels.

If you are a complete beginner, start with books by "Forrest M. Mims"- like "Getting Started in Electronics". All his books are practical guides focused on creating projects rather than being too theoretical.

@logiclab Thanks for the suggestion. I have heard a lot about this book in other forums as well. I will definitely check it out.
