I've worked with Arduino before and want to try something new for my next robotics project. I'm considering either the ESP32 or the RP2040. The project might involve sensors and wireless communication. Which board would be a better step forward, and why?

The table below will definitely give you an idea of what’s best for you, according to me:
If your project needs wireless communication and more built-in features, the ESP32 is the better step forward.
If you're experimenting on a budget or want to dive deeper into hardware control, the RP2040 is also a great pick (especially the Pico W if you still want Wi-Fi).
